Anne Beinecke is an abstract artist inspired by dreams and the natural world. As a child she could be found exploring the galleries of the Art Institute of Chicago writing poems about the paintings that inspired her, creating tiny books, and snapping photos of the neighborhood creatures with her beloved Brownie. Encouraged by her parents, Anne studied painting and photography at CUNY Hunter College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she received her BFA. Her work has recently been exhibited at galleries in the Boston area and New York including Site: Brooklyn Gallery, and the National Association of Women Artists. Anne has been a recipient of the 2020 Cambridge Art Association Members Artist of the Year Award and the 2017 Cambridge Art Association Emerging Artist Award. Her work is held in private collections. Anne is also an animal rights activist with a background in social work and psychology. She currently lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband and cat.
