Bio
Anne Beinecke is an American artist inspired by dreams and the natural world. As a child she could be found exploring the galleries of the Art Institute of Chicago, writing poems about the paintings that she loved, creating tiny books, and snapping photos of the neighborhood creatures with her beloved Brownie. Encouraged by her parents, Anne studied painting and photography at CUNY Hunter College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she received her BFA. Her work has been exhibited at galleries in the Boston area and New York. Anne has been a recipient of the 2020 Cambridge Art Association Artist of the Year Award and the 2017 Cambridge Art Association Emerging Artist Award. Her work is held in private collections in the US and Europe. Anne is also an animal rights and environmental activist with a background in social work and psychology. She currently lives and works in Cambridge, Massachusetts with her husband and cat.
