Bio
Anne Beinecke is a visual artist inspired by dreams and the natural world. As a youngster she could be found exploring the galleries of the Art Institute of Chicago, writing poems about the paintings she loved there, creating tiny books, and snapping photos of the neighborhood creatures with her beloved Brownie. Beinecke studied painting and photography at CUNY Hunter College and Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she received her BFA, and attended graduate school at the University of Chicago. Her paintings have been exhibited widely in the Boston area and beyond. Beinecke was awarded the 2020 Cambridge Art Association Artist of the Year Award and the 2017 Emerging Artist Award. Her work is held in private collections in the US and abroad. Anne is also an animal rights and environmental activist. She currently lives and works in Cambridge, MA with her husband and cat. Her painting studio is in neighboring Somerville.
